The Juneau Pride Chorus will be the opening act at the 2016 Alaska Folk Festival on Monday, April 4th, at 7:00 p.m. in Centennial Hall. We will be singing some terrific singalong songs like “Happy Wanderer” and “Don’t Rain on My Parade”, as well as the inspirational “One of Us Can Make a Difference” and “Never Sit Down”.
Thanks to a grant from the Pride Foundation, we have been able to set up a website. Thank you to Mendi Antisdel for her wonderful designing. We hope make our presence known to a wider audience in Juneau as well as beyond. We hope to develop a more diverse following–attracting people of all ages, ethnicities, and genders.
We are a chorus of mothers, daughters, sisters, lovers, and grandmothers. Our common bond is a love of singing as we join to celebrate our diversity.
